Prayer for America<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Father, once again we are reminded that any security we have as individuals
\nand as a nation comes only from the abiding hope and trust we have in You.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once again, we are cut to the heart<\/span>
\nat the loss of life and damage to peace<\/span>
\nthat we have suffered as a nation.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, Father, today we come to You<\/span>
\nand we seek Your peace for the families and victims of the horrible tragedy.<\/span>
\nFor those still lost in the rubble of destruction,<\/span>
\nwe ask for the safety of Your hand.<\/span>
\nFor those consumed by worry and fear<\/span>
\nas they try to locate missing loved ones,<\/span>
\nwe ask for the comforting presence of Your Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

We seek Your peace for the emergency workers,<\/span>
\nthat You would guard their lives<\/span>
\nas they seek to guard the lives of others.<\/span>
\nGive them the wisdom they need to perform their duties<\/span>
\nabove and beyond the levels of their training.<\/span><\/p>\n

And Father, we seek Your peace for our nation and our world.<\/span>
\nIn the midst of our questions and uncertainty,<\/span>
\nwe recognize that the unknown details of this day<\/span>
\nare already in Your grasp.<\/span>
\nWe know You sent Your Son as the Prince of Peace<\/span>
\nand even this day falls under His command.<\/span>
\nHelp us to find the strength and comfort we need as a nation<\/span>
\nto continue to humble ourselves,<\/span>
\npray and seek Your face for a new day in America<\/span>
\nand a new hope for our world.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times<\/span>
