Increasing Your Faith Luke 17:5
Increasing Your Faith Are, you weak in your faith? Do, you exercise your faith? Do, you ask God for faith? What is faith to you, how do you explain your faith? In Luke 17:5, the apostles said to the Lord , “Increase our faith.” When Jesus responded in the next verse by encouraging them to have faith like a small mustard seed. Then, by having that kind of faith they could say to a “mulberry tree” “Be pulled up by the roots , and planted in the sea.” Luke 17:6, and the tree would obey them. People who often pray for “great faith” they do not really understand that faith grows through our challenges in our lives, by stepping out to do things they do not really understand or has had any experience in. Faith is developed as it’s used, we have to exercise our faith. I do believe that when Jesus, told them about faith as “small as a mustard seed”, He was talking about, if you have any faith, you will plant it by doing something that requires faith. By, doing something God asks you to do. Faith requires ACTION. The Apostles were doing nothing but, yet they wanted to have great faith. There are times when God does not want us to take any action, simply because He wants us to wait on Him to take the action for us! We all need to understand, that trust is Active, rather than being passive. It requires, prayer, praise, confession of God’s Word. We should always pray, seek, praise and confess His Word daily, in our lives, and we should patiently wait on Him to do what He does best >>>>>> Work In Our Lives!!! Increasing Your Faith #2In Luke 18:8, Jesus was asking whether He will find faith on the earth when He returns,( to call us home–my words). If, we all would just remember that God is always pleased with us as long as we believe in Him, we can build our Faith the way we need to. We all need to, and must maintain a high level of confidence in Him, He’s our only way to salvation and ever lasting life. We all need to firmly and sternly deal with our flesh and not allow our flesh to rule over us, we need to remember, Jesus wants to find us full of faith in Him. In Luke 18:17, Jesus stresses the importance of us being, child-like in our faith. What are children like? Matthew 18:3, states they are “trusting, lowly, loving and forgiving.” We could enjoy our lives more if we only would operate in these four virtues in our Lives! Ask God to Help You Grow!!! |
