Importance of a Right Heart
“Importance of a Right Heart”
Genesis 6:5-8
Lets us know two things that really displeases God: wickedness, and evil thoughts of the imagination and evil thinking. It describes the peoples hearts during the Day of Noah, and it is happening today.
God destroyed everything and everybody except Noah and his family, because Noah’s heart was in the right way, he was given grace and favor in God’s eyes. Noah found in God’s grace and God’s favor in his eyes.
God destroyed all mankind- everyone because of their wicked, their evil hearts.
We can learn to this day that many people are being destroyed for the reason of their evil hearts, their evil ways and thinking, their hearts are not right with God. Their hearts hold wicked evil thoughts, that allows impure thoughts and imaginations, the hearts holds evilness, they think bad and evil things.
Like wishing someone would die, or calamity comes down on others for what they do, lying, stealing, murdering, cursing, malice, etc. God wants us to have a loving, gracious heart not of evil and mean thoughts and imagination.
If people would think before they speak or train their minds not to let their thoughts control their hearts and their hearts become corrupt along with their evil thinking this world would be a much better place.
Can you imagine areas of our lives would be all straightened out if we would just get the hearts right with God! Our hearts may not be filled with blatant evil which was in Noah’s days, the bad attitude, wrongful thinking, qualifies as having a evil heart of the imagination which comes from the evil thoughts.
Our attitudes are determined everything else on and about our situations, if our hearts are full of resentment, anger, hate, lying, cursing, bad attitudes, our minds become full of evil – stinking thinking and we will not get much progress in our lives.
We need: Pure, tender, loving hearts. We need to listen to our conscience so we can realize what we are needing to change and listen and heed to the voice so we can ask for God to help us and change our thoughts of them. (Proverbs 4:23) tells us “keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.”
Many fail to guard their hearts like they should which helps us to guard our thoughts in our mind because their is so much traffic in our minds that we need to make turns in the thoughts we allow ourselves to think. Goodness in – evil out! We can not serve two masters – good and evil so get the garbage out and start have a good heart good thinking – we have to
be careful of our own actions not everyone else’s, we need to fix ours before we can help fix others.
We have to pay attention to our actions, thoughts, imaginations, motives, attitudes, our mouth on what comes out of it.
God looks at these things because He is a God of hearts. Whatever you do, make sure you have a right heart before the Lord, and you will reap abundance in your life.
Having evil thoughts, imagination, evil heart causes destruction so whether within yourself it’s others as well.
