These Are “Scriptures” Which show us to and why to stay away from Gambling!

As a result, people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others to meet your financial needs. Those who work for their money will be financially independent, but those who gamble often end up in financial ruin.

If, you know you DO NOT have the money to gamble your life away then STOP! DO NOT DO IT!

I look at it this way, people get so in to this gambling mess and they have the devil on their left shoulder saying“You go, you will win” or ” You know you want to go, come on go, I let you win money if you go”etc. Look, my husband gambles and he’s always trying to get me to go, all it takes is a flat out NO!

When you gamble hoping to hit it big, the devil is fooling you from one end to the next, and you wonder why GOD will not trust you with more money??? God, wants to bless you but how can He when all you want to do is gamble it away?

I tell my husband that allot, and when he goes and comes home I tell him “you didn’t win did you?” He says, blank no, I told him the devil fooled you into going, one day you will learn. And, he makes promises about gambling he cannot keep and that’s addiction and I am here to tell you, if you have someone that gambles in your life or home, pray, pray, pray for them.

I pray for my husband all the time to quit, and it takes a firm believer in Jesus Christ to keep praying and having faith they will quit. Only God can make them see they are wasting His money and for them to finally give up the desire to go.

Here are some “Scriptures” I have listed for you to see just what God wants us to do and follow!

2 Corinthians 8:21 …. Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

Ephesians 5:5 . . . You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is really an idolater who worships the things of this world.

Luke 12:15 . . . Beware! Don’t be greedy for what you don’t have. Real life is not measured by how much we own. God warns us not to be greedy.

Proverbs 10:16 . . . The earnings of the godly enhance their lives, but evil people squander their money on sin. Gambling is foolish because the money could have been put to good use.

Leviticus 16:8 . . . He is to cast sacred lots to determine which goat will be sacrificed to the Lord and which one will be the scapegoat.

Numbers 34:13 . . . Moses told the Israelites, “This is the territory you are to divide among yourselves by sacred lot.” Casting lots in the Bible was a method of determining God’s will, not a means of making money, so it is completely different from gambling.

Matthew 27:35 . . . After they had nailed him to the cross, the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. The soldiers who crucified Jesus gambled to see who would get his clothes.

Proverbs 28:22 . . . A greedy person tries to get rich quick, but it only leads to poverty.

Proverbs 1:19 . . . Such is the fate of all who are greedy for gain. It ends up robbing them of life. Gambling is rooted in the hope of getting rich quick, but it often ends in poverty.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 . . . This should be your ambition: to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we commanded you before.

Romans 12:17 ….. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
