Scriptures On Anger Proverbs 16:32, James 1:19, Proverbs 15:1 We all get angry at some point in our lives. We are allowed to angry at sin. Bur, what else are you getting angry at that isn’t sin? Is it a person that hurt you, or lied on you etc.. I know I have gotten angry and hurt with those who have lied on us and called us names and know us better but they keep talking behind our backs, calling us names and lying on us…. Yes, they have even stolen from us. Yes, we get angry because it’s a sin, and they have sinned against us, and it is up to them to ask for forgiveness for doing so. Anger, sometimes comes from people taking things out of context and not actually reading or listening with open minds, and this is what causes allot of anger and misunderstandings. And, in which causes trouble and strife. Anger, it is easy to end up angry because people hurt us and treat us wrong, I have listed scriptures and verses on “Anger” and I am in hopes that they help you when you wonder what the Bible says about being angry. Scriptures On Anger Psalms 37:8 –– We are to cease from our anger– Cease from anger and forsake wrath, fret not yourself –– it tends only to evil doing. Then it goes to say: Psalms 37:9 –– For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who want and hope and look for the Lord shall inherit the earth Isaiah 57;13, also. Psalms 103:8 –– The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy and loving – kindness (James 5:11) also. Proverbs 14:29 –– He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is hasty of spirit exposes and exalts his folly. Proverbs 16:32, James 1:19, Proverbs 15:1 Proverbs 15:1 –– A soft answers turns away wrath, but a grievous words stirs up wrath.Proverbs 25:15 Proverbs 15:18 – A hot tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger appeases contention. Proverbs 19:11 –– Good sense makes a man restrain his anger, and it is his glory to overlook a transgression or an offense. Ecclesiastes 7:9 – Do not be quick in spirit to be angry or vexed, for anger and vexation lodge in the bosom of fools. (James 1:19, 20) Ephesians 4:26 –– When angry, do not sin, do not ever let your wrath (your exasperations, your fury, or indignation) last until the sun goes down. Ephesians 4:31-32 –– let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentments (anger, animosity, and quarreling, brawling clamor, contentions and slander, evil speaking abusive or blasphemous language, be banished from you, with all malice spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind). 32. And become useful and helpful and kind to one another tender hearted (compassionate, understanding, loving hearted) forgiving one another (readily and freely), as God in Christ forgave. Colossians 3:8 –– But now put away and rid yourselves (completely) of all these things, anger, rage, bad feelings towards others, curses and slander, and foul mouthed abuse and shameful utterances from your lips! James 1:19,20 –– Understand (this) my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear (a ready listener) slow to speak , slow to take offense and to get angry. 20.
